A Rainy Day Session

San Antonio decided to get stormy for the very week I decided to book a group of sessions. Luckily though, things cleared up in the evening or held out just long enough for my last morning session. But for this one, it rained. Since this family was moving just a couple days later, we decided to proceed after I had an idea of doing it under an overhang at our local church building. I had taken some pictures of my daughter there and remembered that it had a white ceiling that would be perfect for bouncing flash. The skies cleared up to a drizzle rain with not the best light but enough to work with. So…we decided to give it a try and I am so glad we did.

This session was so much fun. The mom brought props and I brought some homemade quilts; together these were perfect to transform our little makeshift outdoor studio into the perfect location. Plus with my entire focus on the kids with two assistants, mom and dad, this session was so relaxed and fun. So much so that I am starting to think kids are my favorite subjects to photograph. (With an assistant)

And look, so many keepers.
